When you know, you know. It took all of 5 minutes for Shubham to realise that Ruchika was the person he wanted to spend the rest of his life with. Their conversations would never end and the rest as they say is history. The duo got married in the ITC Grand Bharat in a beautiful celebration of their life together.
Sharing our favourite moments from their ITC Grand Bharat wedding. Also, don’t forget to scroll down and see their wedding trailer!
Part 1: Pre-Wedding
We spent a lovely day with Ruchika and Shubham trying to capture and immortalise their love and chemistry as a couple today. The idea, as with all our pre-weddings, is to give our couple a comfortable and safe space to be themselves. And we like to think we achieved that with our couple. Pretty soon into the shoot, they forgot all about us and started to have fun with each other!
Part 2: Mehendi
Our couple made their entry for the mehendi function hand-in-hand amidst a riot of colours. It was a beautiful afternoon full of love, dance and laughter. Towards late afternoon, we snuck our couple out for some quick portraits. Don’t they look just adorable together?
Part 3: Sangeet and Engagement
The sangeet and enegagement ceremony was a night of fun, frolic, dancing and just sooo much fun! Our stunning couple made their entry with dance artists paving the way!
After enjoying the dance performances of family and friends, Ruchika and Shubham finally took the centre stage for a lovely couple dance. Like a true gentlemen, Shubham got down on his knee soon after and the exchanged rings amidst a flower shower!
Later that night it was time to let loose and party! But not before we took some awesome portraits of our couple against the regal Grand Bharat!
Part 4: Haldi
Shubham’s haldi was equal parts loving and equal parts crazy. Want to guess who was responsible for the crazy part?
Never a bad idea to end a haldi ceremony with a flower shower!
Part 5: ITC Grand Bharat Wedding
The most emotionally charged, hectic, crazy, wonderful, beautiful part of the wedding – the wedding day.
Ruchika looked ethereal in a classic red Sabyasachi lehenga. It’s very rare that the timing for bridal portraits and the sunset coincides, so we took full advantage of the few minutes of light that we got and made some lovely portraits of our bride.
Ruchika made her bridal entry hand-in-hand with her parents and walked towards Shubham with Jasleen Royal’s beautiful voice in the background.
They say it’s good luck when the sindoor falls on the bride’s nose during the ceremony. Seeing the two of them together, we think they both got lucky!
We will never get used to the extreme emotions that the vidaai ceremony brings out at weddings. We cry easily! Ruchika’s vidaai was no different. It started with the joy of having a daughter married and ended with the sorrow of having to bid her goodbye. It was especially difficult for the father of the bride to let his dear daughter go.
