Two super fun and quirky people get married in a Jaipur destination wedding
“Pyaar dosti hai“. “Love is friendship” – the famous words of Shah Rukh Khan in the movie Kuch Kuch Hota Hai (KKHH) is literally the love story of this amazing couple. Shreya and Dakshit’s Jaipur destination wedding was nothing but a three-day-long party in the Le Méridien Resort.
The couple met about a decade ago casually and lost touch after a while. But things picked up quickly ten years later when they met again. They realised that their great friendship is their love for each other. Shreya adds the much-needed spice in his life and Dakshit is the best friend she can ever have. And just like in KKHH, two best friends are united for life.
Part 1: Welcome and Sangeet
The celebrations began with a fun welcome party for the groom. Both the families are from Chennai, so they wanted to have a destination wedding away from their home city. The guests had come all the way from Chennai to join this Jaipur destination wedding so the families had fun catching up and dancing with each other.
The sangeet night was an absolute blast! The couple was excited for their dance performances and even more excited to dance the night away with family and friends.
Part 2: Mehendi and Artist night
The mehendi event in the afternoon was a light and casual affair. We got a couple of portraits of our couple before they made an entry amidst a riot of colours.
The artist night was an evening of dance, music and grandeur. Shreya and Dakshit had the longest couple entries we have seen – almost 20 minutes long! They entered through a crazy tunnel riding a vintage car.
Dakshit surprised Shreya with a proposal on that stage in front of everyone. She said yes, of course!
Sohail Sen was the artist of the night. His song ‘Bala‘ is so famous and loved that he had to sing it at least ten times that night for his fans at the wedding! the party continued till the early hours of the morning.
Part 3: Haldi
The haldi was a quiet affair as everyone was still a bit tired from last night’s partying. But as we always say, Indian weddings are unpredictable, so just as Dakshit was about to leave after the ceremony, his friends decided to dump a bucket of water on him.
Part 4: Jaipur Destination Wedding
Their wedding was a super fun, casual, and relaxed affair. Shreya and Dakshit are the kind of people who just want to have the best time with their family and friends. And that they did! The friends and family had the blast of their lives celebrating the wedding of this couple in this Jaipur destination wedding.
It was a very cold February night, so Dakshit wanted to warm things up with a crazy baraat!
Shreya couldn’t believe that she was all dressed up as a bride but super happy to see herself looking so beautiful.
It was a freezing winter night and the pheras were scheduled at around 2 am. So we had to make an image of the couple warming themselves up by the fire before the wedding ceremony began.
