We can’t wait to tell you the story of Nidhi and Sarang, mostly because it makes us look good! When we first met Nidhi for the first time, the first thing she told us was that she’s been a super fan following our work since 2012, and had been waiting for ten years to have us make her wedding story! Of course from that moment on we knew this wedding would be special; and we wanted to make sure we made something phenomenal for Nidhi. Nidhi and Sarang are both doctors (isn’t it amazing how doctors always marry doctors?) and wanted to get away from the hustle and bustle of Delhi (but not too far), and decided to have a fun Destination Wedding in Jim Corbett.
Nidhi and Sarang met during Med School, during a biochemistry lecture. What started as a beautiful friendship translated into a happy-forever-after.
They decided to get married after after 9 long years of a steady friendship at The Infinity Resort, Jim Corbett National Park. Let’s walk down the wedding lane, But first, let’s take a few steps back in time and revisit the time we spent with them for their Pre-wedding shoot.
Pre-Wedding
With Nidhi and Sarang, we knew that their vibe was fun, energetic and full of enthusiasm, so a run of the mill pre-wedding just wouldn’t do. We’d been wanting to make a stop-motion video for ages now, and had been waiting for the right couple to come along – and with these two, everything just fell into place. Quirky, peculiar and super entertaining — we had a great shoot, check out the video below!
Moving things to Jim Corbett
Set by the beautiful river, the property had a private beach which we knew would give us great photo ops. Before we dived into the festivities we sneaked Nidhi & Sarang into the wild! (Well, pardon the pun…it’s Jim Corbett after all, and no, we didn’t see a tiger!).
White Wedding at Infinity Resort, Jim Corbett
Ever since she was a little girl, Nidhi had dreamt of a White Wedding where she’d wear a dress and walk down the aisle towards Prince Charming. Sarang loved the idea (and so did we!). The event was scheduled to happen just by the riverside, and with the threat of rain looming all morning, the skies parted to reveal a beautiful sun-kissed morning that was perfect for the day. There was so much to this morning – friendship that turned into love – the way Sarang looked at Nidhi as he saw her walk down the aisle – and the vows that they made to each other…precious!
Nidhi wanted to do a “first look” for Sarang. Let’s just say that in the history of first looks, this one was was probably one of the very best. Have a look at a short video of how Sarang reacted when he saw Nidhi dressed up in white for the first time!
Sangeet
After the fun of the white wedding, it was time to for the Sangeet.
Haldi
It was an unusual Haldi, where nobody wore YELLOW (side note: if you’re planning your wedding, trust us and wear colours that compliment yellow!). With the promised rain just around the corner, this afternoon turned into a real pool party (and who’d miss the fun “throw the couple in the pool” moment).
Wedding at Jim Corbett
The moment everybody eagerly waited for 9 years was FINALLY happening! It was time to get the Destination Wedding in Jim Corbett kicked off!
